From designing buildings to designing an artificial intelligence, Meghana Joshi, the subject of this week’s Juno Jones Spotlight, has done quite a bit. Not only is she an associate at WHA Inc, she is also a founder and CEO of the innovation firm StudioTek.
As part of the Juno Jones "Women in Nontraditional Fields" series, I had the pleasure of speaking to Jayne-Louise Pritchard (@SlinkyScience
on Instagram), a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Queensland Diamantina Institute in Brisbane, Australia. She is a cancer cell biologist and is studying chemoresistance. She shared a bit of her STEM journey with us, including some surprising challenges she has faced as a woman in academia.
Here at Juno Jones, we are not just obsessed with safety shoes. We are also passionate about helping to create space for women in non-traditional fields. Recently, I had the opportunity to talk to Anna Arsentieva about her experiences working in the software industry and being a woman in STEM. Anna is a software developer and does volunteer work on the side with various organizations to promote the tech field to young women.
